1. Highlighted the suicidally stupid shortcomings of the Norwegian police system (all self-inflicted, via politikal korrektness and its evil twin multiculturalism);

2. Handed the leftist/communist "labor" party the next couple elections in Norway, further guaranteeing their continued decline down the hole of the muslimization of their nation;

and

3. Also handed the socialist nut-case jihadi-collaborators a "moral equivalency" argument against Christians in the political debate over whether or not we need to hunt down and kill the IslamoFascist terrorists before they murder our kids.

No matter how you slice it, that dumbshit did ABSOLUTELY everything WRONG if he was trying to help SAVE his nation!

And he'll likely get the "maximum" of a 21 year sentence in a prison?
Put his sorry ass in the general population of whatever little candy-coated resort they call a "prison" and maybe the other cons will make sure some REAL Justice gets administered.

And another observation:

So, to all Dads, note that the following biblical insights are to encourage you to seek to be all that the Lord would have you to be as an earthly Dad. And they are to encourage you to seek to become more and more like the Lord Jesus, and our Heavenly Father. He is the model for us all.

As Dads, none of us have arrived. We are all in desperate need of God's grace to be the kind of Dad we need to be. Let's pray for each other, and always strive daily to be the faithful Christian fathers God has called us to be.

This Father's Day, please take a few minutes to read these truths from Pastor Joseph Parker:

A Faithful Christian Father
God gives us in His Word some of the most important characteristics or attributes of a faithful Christian father. We can find some of those characteristics in both the Old and New Testament. What are some of those characteristics? Let's consider a few:

1) He has received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of his life. John 3:16, and Romans 10:9
2) He seeks to read the Word of God daily for himself. Psalm 1, and Psalm 119:105
3) He spends time in prayer daily. Mark 1:35 and Philippians 4:6-7
4) He seeks to have a time daily to bring the family together to read the Word of God, teach from the Word, and pray together. Deuteronomy 6:1-9, and Ephesians 6:1-4.
5) He takes and/or makes time to train and instruct his children, teaching them about God, the Word of God, and teaching them wisdom for all areas of life. Deuteronomy 6: 1 - 9, Proverbs 2: 1-9, Proverbs 3: 1-2, Proverbs 4: 1-6.
6) He seeks to lead and take his family to church regularly - such as worship service on Sundays and Bible studies on Wednesdays. Joshua 24:15, and Hebrews 10:24-25
7) He has a sense of mission in his life. He seeks with passion to fulfill the specific call of God on his life, whatever that calling may be. Romans 12:1 - 2, Colossians 3:1-3.
8) He works hard to provide for his family. I Timothy 5:8. (God gave Adam a job before He gave him a wife in Genesis 2.)
9) He is a protector for his family. Matthew 1-2.
10) He lives the life of a good role model for his family and others. Joshua 24:15.

The world in which we live is in tremendous need of the ministry of faithful Christian fathers. Pray that God will raise up many of them who understand the important place and call of God upon them to be men after God's own heart in their home and in society and culture as well.

There was an incident - this is a "no-shitter" - where a commander in the field actually DID call back to a JAG (military lawyer) in order to get the okay for a mutha-fraggin' airstrike!

As lined-out by Uncle Jimbo at BlackFive.net, there IS a valid reason for the VERY restrictive ROE (rules of engagement), but when it comes down to the INTERPRETATION and IMPLEMENTATION of those rules, THAT is when we have a problem.

Too many of the commanders in the field are looking over their shoulders before giving orders, so the next logical question is: WHY?

Might it just maybe have something to do with the Marines (falsely) accused of murdering innocent civilians in Haditha - all of whom have since been exonerated?
...and that EX-Marine jerk murtha had the luck of dying before the libel lawsuit filed against him by one of the cleared Marines could get to trial.
...but now that oxy-thief has faced the HIGHEST Judge, and I do not believe the "ruling" was favorable.
Perhaps it could be the trial of three Navy SeALs for giving a captured terrorist a fat lip?
(that terrorist was the one who orchestrated the ambush of the BlackWater guards whose charred corpses were hung from that bridge in Fallujah.)
How about the threats of criminal charges being filed against CIA interrogators?
Even the lawyers who "ok'd" the "harsh interrogation techniques" of captured terrorists got run through the legal mill - and exonerated.

Gee, ya think any of that shit might be why field commanders seem to be focusing more on the legalities than the tactics of the situations they face?
That kind of hesitation in the field can get good troops dead.
I have to wonder how many American troops have ALREADY paid with their lives for the treasonous actions and self-serving words of CongressCritters, Attorney General holder and the whole misbegotten misAdminstration of Pharaoh in D.C.

So what can WE do about this, back here stateside?
How about we keep up the pressure on the jackasses and posers in D.C.?

Let's make sure that this Republic gets back to being something WORTHY of the sacrifices our warfighters and their families are making for us every day.
Don't let their efforts go to waste.

5. None of them had the grace and dignity to deliver an abject apology, then resign (much less engage in a richly-deserved self-evisceration);

6. They were absolutely ready to arrest the bomber as soon as he landed IN DETROIT since they figured out AFTER THE PLANE LEFT AMSTERDAM that the bomber was on board (but not a word to the air crew in flight about the terrorist being ON THEIR PLANE!);

7. And - despite being hounded by the oldest White House reporter in captivity (the venerable "progressive" troll helen thomas) - they somehow couldn't manage to state WHY the terrorists declared jihad against us.

It's past time for an accounting of Pharaoh barack's so-called "czars" - unelected, unvetted, unaccountable, and acting in patently unAmerican ways - because it's obvious (to those who look) that the proliferation of these bureaucratic vermin is undermining every facet of the U.S. society and government.

Just what IS a "czar"?
They date back to the FDR administration - created in response to the astonishingly bungled "crisis" of the Great Depression - and were originally called by a far more accurate term: DICTATORS.
Some of the current crop have to go through a "confirmation" process in the Senate - which, technically, makes them something other than actual "czars", but the principle and the end result is the same - but the majority (more than 30, so far, with this Administration) are simply appointed by the President, given control of Cabinet-level organizations (departments), given BILLION-DOLLAR budgets (that we don't have) to spend virtually however they want, then turned loose to frag-up this nation with fiat powers called "Federal policy and regulations".
...essentially, they take over, punish, abuse, over-regulate whatever Pharaoh aims them at.

Given legal cover by the White House (and likely by the similarly appointed Attorney General), and aided and abetted by the useful fools in Congress - most of whom aren't even smart enough to realize that they're plaiting their own political nooses - these creatures were obviously given the mission to completely trash this nation by micromanaging away any shred of liberty or freedom.
They're back-dooring the Constitution and doing their level best to make it irrelevant.

There's a "climate czar", a "science czar", "car czar", "green jobs czar", "FCC diversity czar", "economics czar", "urban czar", "pay czar"....here's a list of 'em.
...so far.....

Oddly enough, there's Senators like collins, byrd and feingold whose ears pricked up about this proliferation of parasites - likely because they don't want someone else's snout stealing the slops from what they consider to be THEIR trough - and they're FINALLY starting to ask some questions that should have first been asked 70 years ago.

And did I mention that nearly all of these varmints are "progressives" and socialists?
There's also Maoists, self-described communists, climate-kooks, anti-capitalists of every stripe, tax-cheats, fools who admire punks like hugo chavez, world-government proponents, international law advocates...all of 'em appointed by a narcissistic Suit that's so empty that when his teleprompter crashes you can hear the wind whistling up through the collar.

For decades, political observers have watched with fascination the battle raging inside the Republican Party. Whether the contest has been between Sen. Robert Taft and Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower, between Barry Goldwater and Nelson A. Rockefeller, or Ronald Reagan and Gerald R. Ford, the battle has always been viewed as a fight between "conservatives" and so-called "moderates."

However, as recent events reveal, such a formulation misses the point. In fact, the real battle being waged is between Washington insiders - as represented by the congressional wing of the Republican Party - and grass-roots Americans from all walks of life throughout the country.

The actual events that prompted this observation were hardly anything of consequence. The gadfly, wannabe "cool" chairman of the Republican National Committee, Michael Steele, issued a policy statement titled a "Health Care Bill of Rights." Within days, Senate Republicans led by Tennessee Sen. Lamar Alexander lashed out at Mr. Steele, intoning, "We are elected to set the policy."

And that, in a nutshell, points up the real fight being waged in Washington today. The congressional wing has grown alienated from the very people who sent them to Washington.

You see expressions of this almost every day. Just last weekend, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham held a town-hall meeting where he ran headlong into opposition for his love of compromise. When pressed by the crowd, Mr. Graham had advice for the grass roots. He replied to a critic of his many liberal positions, "If you don't like it, you can leave." That may be exactly what is happening.

In a special election to fill a vacancy in New York's 23rd Congressional District, insiders and lackeys of the congressional wing selected a liberal assemblywoman who supports President Obama more than the Democratic candidate, is radical on most social issues and is tied by marriage to the AFL-CIO.

Local activists refused to accept such a candidate, so the Conservative Party mounted a challenger. As of this writing, the Conservative candidate, Doug Hoffman, is rising rapidly in the polls as the Republican sinks toward single-digit support. The real Republican Party finally is rising up against the self-appointed mandarins of the congressional wing.

New York 23 is not an isolated case. In Virginia's 5th Congressional District, a solid conservative, Bradley Rees, has publicly announced he will run as an Independent next year if the D.C. power brokers select a liberal challenger to freshman Democratic Rep. Tom Perriello. Again, grass-roots activists are rising up to tell the congressional wing to either get on board or get run over.

The response coming back from the congressional wing is invariably the same: They do what they want to do, not what the people who sent them to Washington want them to do. You and I are irrelevant.

Well, that is what has gotten us into this mess.

That attitude has allowed the culture of corruption to flourish regardless of which party is in power. It is this arrogant disrespect for citizens that has led us to the brink of financial ruin.

So, with all due respect to Mr. Alexander: Phooey! You and your cohorts were sent to Washington to represent the views of the people back home. You were given the task of implementing the ideas and policy positions embedded in the platform. And, you were sent to Congress to serve, not dictate.

The millions of Americans who have from time to time put their faith in one party or the other are starting to awaken. They will no longer sit by silently and take whatever scrap is thrown their way. They increasingly are taking Mr. Graham's advice - they are leaving.

My personal take on this is simple, based on history and logic:

1. Every - EVERY! - time a third party candidate has run in the past 30 years, it took votes from whichever candidate was closest to representing Conservatives.
...hell, even I voted for Perot, and look who we ended up with abusing cigars in the Oral Orifice....

2. Any third party has to basically start from scratch - you can't prove that the Libertarians or the Paulites or the Constitution party has anything like the resources the GOP already has in place.

3. The Republican party has the resources, infrastructure, money and name-recognition, but it's being run by the "progressives" and "moderates", and other creatures of questionable morals...and sanity.

Why reinvent the wheel?

I'm of the opinion that it's time for Americans to take back the GOP from the "progressive" "moderate" RINO pukes like mccain, graham, snowe, collins...they're nothing but democraps with an "R" behind their names.
The fastest way to fire THEM is to "primary" their asses out.
Kick 'em out from the inside.

The way I see it, the best way to take back America is to take back the GOP, first.

It means that the punks who happen to be in charge - ANY punks at ANY given time, REGARDLESS of whatever crime gang...er, party affiliation - are accountable to the framework established over 200 years ago by the "right wing extremists" (Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, Madison, Adams, Hamilton, Payne, et al) who had just gotten finished fighting for and winning their freedom by slapping the snot outta what was the world's Superpower at that time (King George III).

To be even more specific, Mr. President, examine Article 2, Section II:

About 3 Years Of Winter Left...I hope....

With the first couple inches of real snow for the year hittin' the ground here last night, I've decided to repost the following, and I'm thinkin' to make it a tradition to mark the first snow of every year until Pharaoh is out of the White House...while there's still some modicum of freedom left on the 'Net, anyways.
I first wrote this the day after America's collective national brain-fart last year.
So far, liberty is still surviving - in spite of the ruling elite's efforts - but it's already been a rough battle, and it will only get tougher.

I think I might have very much underestimated the fanaticism, corruption, and the sickening perversity-quotient of the slimes now running D.C., though....

Four Years Of Winter

Appropriately enough, there was fresh snow on the ground when I got up yesterday - the day after the media finally dragged the Sacred Sock Puppet across the Finish Line.

I deliberately avoided all news - including the internet - Tuesday night.
I had already voted, and whatever America decided was out of my hands.

When I heard the news on the radio that morning, and after I'd seen the snow, my first thought was of Ragnarok, the old Norse end-days myth. At least I already lived through the jimmuh "PeanutBoy" cahtuh disaster in the 70's, and thus have an unhappy notion of what to expect when b. hussein obama sits his ass in the Oval Office...particularly with the gibbering liberalites pelosi and reid running Congress.

I have no illusions about the shit-sandwich those drooling idiots in D.C. will be expecting America - and the world - to eat, but I quickly got over my disgust and "got my grunt on".
It's going to be four years of winter - cold, uncomfortable, and costly - but I'll keep puttin' one boot in front of the other, just like infantry grunts always have....

The economy? Hell, NOBODY knows what it's going to be doing next month, much less in a year, but count on all the crap the Sock Puppet is proposing to absolutely make it worse.
Healthcare availability (and standards) in America will soon rival that of Cuba.
Depending on how things go with the Supreme Court Justices, the effects of this coming winter will likely last into my childrens' lifetimes.
It's already pretty much a foregone conclusion that American servicemen and women will sacrifice for little or no gain...starting with running away from Iraq, and moving on to other venues yet to be announced (remember Mogadishu?) as the White-Flaggots desperately snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Another attack on the Homeland?
There's plenty of dedicated Americans who will strive to keep that from happening, but how much will the ACLU and Kum-bye-ya Krowd shackle their efforts?
Incandescent bulbs, cheap electricity, energy independence - forget it.
Truth in the media? You're kidding, right?

Although considerably smaller than the humungous rally in Washington, District of Corruption, my daughter and I had a Tea Party of our own on Saturday, 9/12/09.
With just the two of us in front of the local court house, we were far fewer than the crowd back East - which was estimated at nearly one million - but by God, we were there, standing up for what we believe in.

The vast majority of the people who drove past honked, gave us the thumb's up, or waved and grinned, but there was one fat boy on a (non-American made) motorcycle who shouted, "Go tea-bag yerself, ya f**cker."

I didn't even bother to respond - just smiled - and later remarked as how I'd bet $5 that the boy had welfare money in his pocket and a Food Stamp card in his wallet....

About half an hour later, he came a-put-puttin' back up the hill, and the daughter spotted him, saying, "Isn't that the guy that shouted at us earlier?"
I said it was, and just started laughing...couldn't help myself.
It was a good, full-throated belly-laugh at the look on the heckler's face.

The punk on the rice-burner just shook his head and rode past without even gracing me with another snot-assed comment.

...liberalites truly hate it when you laugh at 'em.
He'd given me his "best shot" earlier, and yet there I was, still standing, and LAUGHING at his whole sorry existence.

So, I exercised my FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS on Saturday.
Today, my brother, my son and I took some of my rifles and pistols and exercised our SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS - defending the local shooting range from some rampaging, truly savage inanimate targets.
We were utterly victorious.

Simply put:
The Founders put the SECOND Amendment in the Bill of Rights to DEFEND ALL OF OUR OTHER RIGHTS!

Thus, exercising our First Amendment rights against the pukes in government NOW is a lot better than being forced to exercise our Second Amendment rights later.

DO NOT allow the further socialization of our nation and further bloating of our government to go unanswered.

It's always great to hear liberals speak when they think no one is listening.

Rep. Paul Tonko is a freshman Democrat from Albany, NY. He's a typical non-descript eastern machine politician whose a robot for Obama and Pelosi and doesn't have too many original thoughts. Earlier this week one of his top aides was flying to Washington from the district. She was accompanied by what appeared to be a special interest Washington DC lobbyist, who probably came to Albany to attend some type of big money golf, gambling, and cigars fundraiser for Tonko.

Anyway, unbeknownst to them, a hero of the conservative movement sat quietly behind them. It was impossible to avoid listening to their boisterous conversation, and Tonko's aide didn't disappoint.

Naturally, most of the banter dealt with the health care bill, and here are a few of the gems:

The two were talking about whether Tonko would even be given time to read the bill. She told the lobbyist, "well he pays me to read it for him".

"[The] costliest part [of the Obama healthcare bill] will be the physician's rate cut," she said. Lots of political capital is going to be spent to get that through.

And, for the crowning glory, the aide feels that "probably the best part of the bill is the increase in Hospice care which will solve the prolonging of life issue."

This seems to prove the argument that the Obama bureaucrats will eventually decide who lives and who dies.

Isn't "hope and change" wonderful?

There's a local (state-wide) radio talk show called "Voices of Montana" where people from around the state can argue the topics of the day. I listen when I can - not often, with my work - but I happened to be doing things in the shop and heard a couple guys on there who supposedly represented a "grass-roots movement" to promote fascist (my word) health care. I had to call "bullshit" on them and did so with the following email to station's studios:

First, their parent organization's website lists their Congressional supporters:
Nearly ALL of them are left-wing nut-cases with names like waxman and markey (the same fools who "authored" the "Cap 'n' Tax" economy-killing bill);
lois capps (who once sponsored a bill to have taxpayers pay to have tattoos removed for criminals);
daniel inouye (whose timely call to the Treasury made sure that the bank in Hawaii he's PERSONALLY invested in got a decision reversed and received a few million out of the bail-out money);

Planned Parenthood and Physicians for Reproductive Choice (proabortion)
Center for American Progress and MoveOn.org (george soros groups)

And yet they tried to pass themselves off as NON-partisan and "grassroots"?

Those guests undoubtedly came pre-equipped and well-rehearsed with copious notes (talking-points) specifically designed to pull the wool over our eyes while they yank the rug out from under the best medical system in the world.
Just follow the money.
Those guys are FAR from "non-partisan", and should have been called on it.

They led off with the "cutting red tape" canard, while saying that a "single payer system is off the table", yet kept going back to insisting on government intrusion (masked as "oversight") and a "public option".
I ask anyone to cite me ONE SINGLE EXAMPLE where government intrusion REDUCED RED TAPE!

They made statements like, "provide more options" - when there's ALREADY a few THOUSAND insurance options available. What they did NOT relate was the fact that in the House's CURRENT BILL, there's a provision that after the first of the year the bill is enacted, private insurance companies will NOT be allowed to write any NEW policies.
...can we say "government take-over-by-attrition"?

They made excuses like, "but, we're ALREADY paying for the uninsured", while somehow "neglecting" to mention the reason is that the government MANDATES IT and it's the government MAKING it more expensive!
Some doctors don't like to take on MedicAid patients, since the government TELLS them how much they'll get paid, regardless of their expenses and overhead.
For that matter, hospitals who get paid LESS for government-paid care STILL have to pay their electric bills, the staff, the janitors, outrageous malpractice insurance premiums, et al, so where do they have to make up the difference?
BY OVER-CHARGING THE PRIVATELY INSURED PEOPLE!

And let's not talk about the annual "Late-Life Alternative" counseling that's mandated for the elderly - yes, that really DOES mean what it sounds like - doubtless with Dr. Kavorkian as a "paid-volunteer" consultant.

That "covering the uninsured" is a straw-man argument, since - and you can find the statistics at askHeritage.org - roughly one-fifth of those "47 million" uninsured are young and healthy and CHOOSE not to pay for health insurance (or car or life or property insurance, either) because they're buying motorcycles and other toys; about another fifth are ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS; somewhere arount 19% are wealthy enough that they realize it's cheaper to simply pay cash or check for medical treatments, since most doctors give discounts under such circumstances; another fifth are already covered under various government programs but haven't applied for it; and the remainder MIGHT actually benefit from socialist medicine.

Hardly a "crisis".

Notice that they never really said much about WHO ACTUALLY PAYS for all this!
Anyone who says "the government" will pay for anything is overlooking one fact:
The government HAS NO MONEY!
The government has to TAKE the money from US - through "taxes, fees and surcharges" - in order to HAND IT OUT to anyone else!

What part of their morality says it's okay to STEAL from ME to pay for THEIR bills???

Call your CongressCritters and remind them that THEY work for US!
For that matter, since max-tax baucus is ram-rodding this abomination through his Finance Committee, I want to know if he will personally PLEDGE to put HIS NAME on it as the FIRST fool to sign up for this plan!

If he thinks its such a hot deal, let him do like John Hancock and boldly put HIS signature on it and take ownership of the FIRST of these national insurance policies!

Should he be unwilling to opt into the system that HE is pushing, then I say that WE follow his lead.
Don't sign on to this national health care "crisis".
It's a trap America might never emerge from.

If we want real reform, start with "Loser Pays" tort reform legislation, interstate "portability" of insurance, and LESS government intrusion.

And watch out for snake-oil salesmen."

To begin, what about the "Cap and Tax" legislation that skulked its way through the House of Representatives under the cover of the media's nauseating michael jackson funeral circus?

Then there's the "Card Check" bill (a brazen payoff to the unions who payed MILLIONS into the dem campaign coffers) that will make it possible for UNION thugs to intimidate workers INTO unionizing by doing away with the secret ballot that the unions originally insisted upon in order to keep COMPANY thugs from intimidating workers into NOT unionizing.

What about the mis-named "Hate Crimes" bill which would make it possible to persecute (not a typo) ministers who have the nerve to actually speak out against
homosexuals, child-rapists, corpse-molesters, dog-humpers....why the hell do we need ANOTHER law to prosecute someone who murders a pervert rather than the same tired old laws we use to prosecute the killer of just an "ordinary" murder victim?
What part of "equal protection" means that sexual orientation must grant MORE protection?

Where in the Constitution does it grant the President the power to FIRE A PRIVATE COMPANY EXECUTIVE?
For that matter, since when does the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT have the authority to give TAXPAYER MONEY to private companies (to the tune of BILLIONS OF DOLLARS!) in order to bail them out from Congressionally-mandated, union-induced, self-inflicted BANKRUPTCY?
...and then GIVE a huge share of stock-ownership of that company to the very union thugs whose incessant demands helped drive that company into the dirt?!?

Since when does the government have the Constitutional authority do play accounting games with the Federal Reserve (which is not - I say again NOT! - nor has it EVER BEEN a "federal" agency!) and basically PRINT MONEY for which THERE IS NO "RESERVE"!
For that matter, when it comes to an actual AUDIT of the Fed Reserve by Congress, "The Fed" just told "The U.S. Government" to go frag itself!
There is NOTHING to back up that folded money in your wallet except a collective-delusion by all concerned as to the PERCEIVED value that others will allow you to trade it for real goods.

Had to work, so I didn't get to the court house until 1700 on Saturday, but I sure as hell was there.

As last time, I got more nods, thumb's-up and honks than sour looks (and only one middle finger), and even had the chance to do some face-to-face talking on how the government has gone sideways.

All in all, not a bad way to spend three hours.
Even doubled the turn-out from my 15 APR solo T.E.A. Party...
....my daughter asked if she could join me.......

Still, if we got people talking - and thinking! - then it was more than worth it.

The latter will cost average American families literally THOUSANDS of dollars per household in increased prices, while the former will shove unions down the throats of millions of Americans by removing the right to a secret ballot on unionization votes, allowing union thugs to intimidate people who vote against unionizing.
{trivia note: it was the unions who originally demanded secret ballots to avoid COMPANY thugs from knowing who voted FOR unionizing!}

According to current and former government officials, the CIA's secret waterboarding program was designed and assured to be safe by two well-paid psychologists now working out of an unmarked office building in Spokane, Washington.

Bruce Jessen and Jim Mitchell, former military officers, together founded Mitchell Jessen and Associates.

Both men declined to speak to ABC News citing non-disclosure agreements with the CIA.

But sources say Jessen and Mitchell together designed and implemented the CIA's interrogation program.

Former U.S. officials say the two men were essentially the architects of the CIA's 10-step interrogation plan that culminated in waterboarding.

"The whole intense interrogation concept that we hear about, is essentially their concepts," according to Col. Steven Kleinman, an Air Force interrogator.

It's always interesting when something about the War On Terror has a direct link to my home state - sadly, it's usually when one of our finest is brought home in a flag-draped box - but in this case it is something really different, and disturbing.

Seems that the town of Hardin, Montana - southeast of Billings, on the highway to Crow Agency and Sheridan, Wyoming - had a private company build a 400+ capacity jail to bring some high-paying jobs into the area.

Problem is, they haven't found contracts for it, and so are looking to possibly house displaced IslamoFascist terrorists from the proposed closing (so the Sacred Sock Puppet says) of Gitmo.

Terrorist whack-jobs locked-up just a couple hundred miles from my home?
From my wife and kids?
I don't have a problem with that...we've got guns in the house and they know how to use 'em.

What I very much DO have a problem with is the simple fact that once the murderous scum are allowed on U.S. soil, then there will be bleedin'-assed "progressive" lawyers pissin' all over themselves in their rush to FILE APPEALS for them jackals in AMERICAN civil courts, under a leftist Attorney General and a fascist Administration.

If some of them get off on a technicality - which the ACLU will absolutely push for and possibly even succeed in getting! - then what happens next? Will they be given a new suit, $20 and a bus ticket to the nearest town, like what we used to do with released prison inmates not that long ago?

A small part of me almost hopes they do.

With the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Parties all around this nation today, I decided to have one of my own.

For an hour and a half - from 1730 to 1900, AFTER work - I marched solo in front of the Butte, MT courthouse in a wind-chill of about 18 degrees with my T.E.A. sign that said:
"You can't SPEND your way out of DEBT!"

The court house - with the Korean War Memorial - is right beside a building that houses the local offices for testor and baucus, the dem Senators for Montana.

(I like how the "For Rent" sign is in the office-listing box out front.
Kinda fits, ya know?
And yes, that's snow in the bushes - melted some today, we had a couple inches yesterday.)

By just sheerest coincidence, my timing just accidentally happened to coincide with a city council meeting, where the local (ALL leftist) political hacks had to walk past me as they went in....... It was all completely unintentional, of course.

One of them actually walked up to me and said, "Nice sign".
I told him the logic was inarguable, and he nodded.
I told him it was time for the government types to remember that THEY work for US.

More specifically, I've been wondering how long before the lunatics-running-the-asylum in D.C. began implementing something similar to the infamous Directive # 10-289 from Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged".
Lately, current events have reminded me of that book, so I've been rereading it.

Well, while I was wondering WHEN something like that might go down, it seems that the inimitable (and excrable) barney frank was ALREADY hard at work crafting the "Pay for Performance Act of 2009", which - among other hideously unAmerican things - would allow the tax-cheating head of the IRS (geithner) to set wages and salaries for ALL employees of any company taking "stimulus" money.

Add to that President obumpersticker's asinine idea of indentured servitude for high school students and college kids - supposedly just an "oopsie" on his website during the campaign - and you have to wonder about the so-called "post-racial" candidate reintroducing slavery as part of his socialist agenda.

Here we have yet another stellar example of the disdain and disrespect - hell, the outright hatred - that the jackasses running D.C. hold against those who serve in the America's Armed Services.

I first ran across this buddy-fraggin' treachery over at Major Pain's site - One Marine's View, and it was no trick to find more on it.
It's factual, and it's a kick in the nuts for every member of our Armed Forces, past, present, and future.

The dem-controlled Congress is more than happy to rob our kids and grandkids - and mortgage America's ass to the Communist Chinese (who undercut our products with the simple expedient of slave labor provided by their prisons) - in order to spend gajillions of dollars changing the U.S. into some liberalite wet dream of socialism (like rationed health care). However, they've exhibited their standard-issue penny-pinching when it comes to money for the very men and women who allow them to perpetrate their political (and not-so-political) crimes in safety.

They only want to fund defense spending if it benefits THEIR district.

Another article on OMV concerned the SecDef preparing to make his recommendations on which future (and present) weapons systems he figures we need to keep or cut (and yes, we ARE still at war), but I'm holding fire on that one for now. Fact is, with the war on terror, there is less of an emphasis on certain aspects of the military, and increased emphasis in others - pilotless drones vs. "boomer" nuclear subs is one example that comes to mind.
...but I am NOT optimistic about what will eventually emerge from the sleazy back rooms of Congress.

I'm thinking that "honorable remedy" should be implemented by just over half of Congress and pretty much ALL of the current misAdministration.

They're hunting the CIA in particular, and - since they're essentially the "enforcer" arm of the lunatic left fringe - they're also hoping that through this persecution they'll be able to hang a few former Bush Administration heads on their wall, too.

The dizinformazia about "harsh interrogation techniques" (what the drooling left misnames "torture") is still spewing from the media, as well as "investigations" into "extraordinary rendition" (which they NEVER tell you that Sick Willie cliton STARTED during the 90's), and the "domestic wiretaps" (that they somehow manage to forget to point out are on calls to or from KNOWN TERRORIST CONNECTIONS).
Also, the destruction of some 90+ videos of taped interrogations has their knickers in a particular twist - you just KNOW they were looking to force-feed another "abu-Ghraib"-style pictorial orgy like what the NYSlimes ran with when that story first broke.

The Sacred Sock Puppet today held a - get this! - "Fiscal Responsibility Summit" at the White House. The "community organizer" called in all kinds of wiz-kids and government wonks for a bull-session, told them to identify the problems facing America, break up into study-groups, then get back to him THIS AFTERNOON with not only the specific problems, but the SOLUTIONS for them as well.
President Obumpersticker is promising "fiscal responsibility" - and cutting the FUTURE deficit by HALF! - THE WEEK AFTER HE SIGNED A BILL SPENDING $1.3 TRILLION WE DON'T HAVE!!!!

Of course, he's blaming it all on the Bush administration...but even THAT wasn't enough, since Congress is already preparing to send him the next budget - yeah, remember that "annual budget" thingy for all the ALREADY bloated government spending (that never gets cut) which has to be paid every year? - with a total that's over $410 billion.
And that's ON TOP of all this "stimulus" and "bail-out" spending!
...and that budget has over 9000 earmarks for over $5 BILLION IN PORK!

So the Sacred Sock Puppet stages his little PR stunt to tout "fiscal responsibility" CHANGE, the week after signing the largest "money-we-can't-even-HOPE-to-have" deficit spending bill in human history???

One of the slimiest vermin in Congress, Rep. david obey (d-WI, of course), when told about HOW the money of the obscenely misnamed "stimulus" bill might be misspent replied "So what?" This is the same sort of creature who has stated - along with the new President Bumper Sticker - that the bill is "earmark free"...
...just who the hell do they think they're fooling?

The lemmings (their constituents) who voted for them and their socialist ilk, obviously.
(and notice how neatly they've preemptively laid the blame for the inevitable failure of this obamanation on the people THEY are giving the money TO!)
Then again, if something is 93% SPENDING to increase the size of government, does that mean it's actually the whole pig, and they're leaving off the ears?

Naturally, the Sacred Sock Puppet is wailing to the sky, doing all he can to paint the world in as bleak colors as he can, preaching fear, gloom and doom (thus endeth the over-used, too-oft-abused "hope" mantra), so that scared people will see this as an "emergency" and they can be (blindly, he hopes) rushed into "doing something quickly".
...obviously mouthing words - like the obedient little figurehead he is - that his mail-a-dead-fish-to-guys-who-piss-you-off chief-of-staff (rahm "never waste a good crisis" emmanuel) probably wrote for him.

Of course, that flies in the face of the Congressional Budget Office (which USED to be sacred to the socialists while Bush was in the White House!), which issued a report that this obamanation of a spending bill will actually TRASH THE ECONOMY WORSE in the long run than IF WE DID NOTHING AT ALL.

Is there ANY good news on this?

Well, I'm proud to say that I played a (nearly microscopic) part in slagging-down the phone lines on Capitol Hill, today. Tens of thousands of real Americans bombarded the Congressional switchboard {202-224-3121} with calls protesting the destruction of our children's future.
Every time I had a break at work, I had my cell phone burning the lines to the two Senators misrepresenting Montana (informing them how their own grandchildren will curse their names unless they extract their craniums from their rectums).
Hell, for that matter I called a whole mess of other Senators either thanking them or "correcting" them on their positions regarding that bill.

As if it's not bad enough that I'm home from work today with the Plague, I just watched President obama sign a number of Executive Orders:

The first will (supposedly) close the terrorist detention facility at Guantanamo Bay within a year.
...but leaves plenty of wiggle room for him to check the weather vane of public opinion and change his mind, which should be just about as soon as Americans realize that they don't want those terrorists in jails in their own back yards.

Bear in mind that of the terrorists ALREADY released from Gitmo, over fifty of them have returned to their murderous ways and been either captured again or killed.
Some are still active but NOT dead or captured....

The second EO specifies the use of the Army Field Manual on Interrogations as the standard for ALL U.S. forces in the handling of any detainees. No more "tough" interrogation techniques like water-boarding, keeping them awake for a long time, "stress positions" that make them uncomfortable, and no more playing Barney the Purple Dinosaur songs really loud....
...all of which are used in training some of our own troops, by the way, but are "too mean" for terrorists.

Oh-Mama bin-Hidin' must be laughing his beard off.

The third EO creates a "special task force" to "study the disposition of detainees".
(This will be the mechanism which gives President bumpersticker the "out" to blame someone else for leaving at least some terrorists in Gitmo, ya know.)
...and that "special task force" will include the likely new Attorney General - Eric Holder - who helped pardon the Puerto Rican FALN terrorist bombers, AND Marc Rich (who had business dealings with Iran WHILE 50+ Americans were being held hostage for 444 days).

Military tribunals aren't good enough - and shouldn't be trusted in any case, according to the terrorist-hugging liberalites - so it will be the job of this new pile of bureaucraps to figure out what to do with each detainee, on a case by case basis.
...which should drag out the whole process (well over 300 detainees left, don'cha know) until at least late in BO's term.
What a coincidence....

Perhaps harry reid will agree to have Khalid Sheik Mohammed (the 9/11 mastermind, who gave up his secrets ONLY after being water-boarded!) locked down in his hometown jail in Nevada?

It also looks like we'll have a confessed tax evader (geithner) in charge of the IRS as Treasury Secretary.
Do we REALLY want someone who can't handle his own taxes in charge of managing the TRILLION DOLLAR BAIL OUT?

Where's the outcry from conservative reps over that abomination?
Forget it, the mushy-moderates like hagel, graham, mccain and the rest are already kissing up to the liberalites and their lapdog media pals by bending over and grabbing their ankles.

And here's some additional considerations:

1. When it comes to putting Gitmo detainees in civilian courts in the U.S., consider the fact that German saboteurs - captured on American soil in WW2 - were tried in military tribunals and summarily executed (electric chair) during the Administration of the liberals' patron saint, FDR;

2. During the evidentiary process in an American court, the reasons we have for keeping some detainees could not be disclosed, since they could compromise National Security "assets" - which means either techniques, technologies, or human agents - which would then become either unusable or deceased.
(as was the case after Sen. leahy "leaked" intel to the press, which got an Egyptian asset "slightly dead");

3. As a result of #2, some of the detainees would have to be released, under American civilian law;

4. Foreign nationals who have engaged in terrorism against Americans, and been detained because of it, are NOT entitled to American civil rights, but that's what the leftists in charge in D.C. are determined to GIVE them;

5. Those same terrorists are NOT entitled to ANY protections under ANY of the Geneva Convention Protocols, no matter how far you stretch them - I've TAUGHT the "Law of Land Warfare" to young soldiers, so I'm not just popping smoke on this;

6. The fact that BO has decided to leave two Bush43 appointees as envoys to Iraq and A-stan, and leaving Gates in as SecDef are NOT signs of "centrism", as the media spins it.
They are tacit admissions that Bush was right.

In short, ANY illusions people might have about President barack hussein obama "governing from the center", ARE just smoke...and mirrors.

God Help America - them politicians sure as hell won't.
