" This weekend The Washington Post headlined story, "Pentagon Asking Congress to Hold Back on Generous Increases in Troop Pay,” disclosed that the Obama administration is “pleading” with Congress to give military personnel a much smaller increase in pay than lawmakers have proposed.

"The Pentagon contends that
Congress simply has been too generous

with troops during the past decade."

"For example, the military brass claims that an average sergeant in the Army with four years of service and one dependent would receive $52,589 in annual compensation, according to the paper. This figure includes basic pay, housing, and subsistence allowances, as well as tax benefits.
Meanwhile, a U.S. postal letter carrier, with no supervisory or hazardous duty, makes approximately $80,000 a year when all benefits are factored in."

I heard that a bus driver in one of your more liberal states earns close to $150K a year.

Figures how zero is happy to screw over the troops, he probably thinks it's lawyers and community parasites that keep the nation safe.

Heartbreaking! He's a con-artist, our state & country leaders don't want to equip them with proper protection & equipment. They don't want to feed them decent and they never have wanted to pay them decent. It's BS!!

after a soldier signs up, many times he leaves behind a wife, a family, with very little to live on and with little emotional support. Then, after his enlistment is up, he returns to inferior medical care. All overseen by a bunch of miscreants (Congress) who are more interested in keeping their fat behinds safely ensconced in their congressional seats, their kids out of the military and ensuring they receive an automatic pay raise every year. And we still have the finest all volunteer military force in the world. In my humble opinion, the gallows should have been reinstated long ago for those who continue to put their fat behinds first over the very people who are risking their lives just so they can draw their hefty pensions and continue to vote down the pay raises and quality medical care these soldiers and their families need in order just to survive. I would go so far as to say this is criminal. If it were up to me I would round up every single one of these congressmen and put them all on the front lines. No ammo and no prior firearms training. They don't deserve it.
