Lending A Hand

No matter what Theater, what Area of Operations, there's ALWAYS "downtime" where a soldier, sailor, airman, marine will find themselves with nothing to do but read.

...if they're lucky enough to HAVE something that they haven't read five times
already.
I once found myself reading one of my trooper's economics texts, fer chrissake!
Boredom can do scary things to ya....

At any rate, how about taking a few moments to do some reading of your own at Soldier's Perspective....

While the pukes on Wall Street and in Congress are busy swapping all OUR money back and forth, and making each other richer, the fine folks at Books For Soldiers could use some help, so I figured that's where I'd send some of MY money - before the jackasses in Congress grab some more of it.

Read those links for yourself, then decide for yourself if you want to help out someone who's a few thousand miles from the nearest bookstore.

IF you have any trouble deciding whether or not to help, just remember WHY they're so far from the nearest library....

Done, hope they enjoy the read, they've earned it.
